Nick Mesa and Delián Colón Burgos Present Research at the Graduate Student Showcase

Both Delián Colón Burgos and Nick Mesa participated in the CSU Graduate Student Showcase. This year’s showcase provided them with the opportunity to present their research to a wide range of graduate students and judges while networking with other researchers. Nice work Nick and Delián! Nick Mesa earned the Excellence in Research Award. Congratulations Nick!

Nick Mesa’s presented, “Characterizing Lightning in the Formation of Tropical Storm Claudette (2021)”, and Delián Colón Burgos presented, “How Do Hurricane Seeds Blossom?”.

The Graduate Student Showcase highlighted the research and entrepreneurial work of roughly 275 graduate students at Colorado State University. The Showcase involved both presenting the research and additional live performances. The gradaute students presented their work to Faculty, staff, and postdoctoral scholars.
