Synergistic Activities

I worked with Dr. William Gray on the Atlantic basin seasonal hurricane forecasts since 2000 until his recent passing, and these forecasts receive attention from both the national and international media. I have been the lead author on the seasonal forecasts since 2006 which I currently author along with Dr. Michael Bell. I currently serve as the chair of the World Meteorological Organization’s panel on seasonal hurricane prediction and was an editorial board member for Scientific Reports for several years. I serve as a member of the review panel for the National Research Council’s Research Associates Program. I have been an invited speaker at the National Hurricane Conference, the Florida Governor’s Hurricane Conference, the Bahamas Weather Conference and several energy and insurance-related conferences.
